RE: Titanium RV's

We have a 2008 30E35SA and really love it. There have been a number of warranty issues with the unit and Sprad's RV of Reno has done an excellent job of taking care of them. Normally I get very fustrated with warranty issues, but I've been very happy with the fantastic service provided by Sprad's RV.
For the past several years we have been going to the RV shows and visiting dealers to look at all of the various brands and floor plans. We had seen the Titaniums a few years ago and really liked the bed with a night stand on each side plus it was completely inside the trailer rather than in a slide out. We felt this would make it quieter and more comfortable. After researching for two years we ended up going with the Titanium based on their fit, finish and floor plan. I'm sure there are better units out there, but the Titanium 30E35SA meets our needs very well.
I recommend Titanium and Sprad's RV.

RE: minimizing front to rear shake

I think that Sinecure has identified the best way to stop the front-to-back movement on your single axle trailer. If you still have movement after that take a look at the stabilizers make by Winfield RV Products. Their web site is www.winfieldrvproducts.com. They attach to your sissor jacks without any drilling or welding using existing bolt holes and really help in elimininating side-to-side movement. A friend put these stabilizers on his Jayco travel trailer and they made his trailer rock solid.

RE: Distance from Dealer/Decent APR right now?

The main thing is to shop the various dealers to find out their pricing. Then you can compare each dealer by price, distance and service. In addition you can provide bonus points for the dealer that you feel deserves your business based on how they have treated you etc. I purchased my trailer from a dealer 130 miles from me even though there were two other dealer that were closer. Some of the deciding factors were the price, whether I felt they would provide the level of service after the sale that I wanted, how they treated me and whether I wanted to give them my business. I dealt with one dealer in person, one on the phone and the other via phone and Internet. I never stepped foot into the dealership where I purchased my trailer until they had received it(special order) from the factory and had it ready for delivery. I have been very happy with my choice of dealers even though I taken my trailer back for some warranty work. They treated me well during the sale and during the warranty work. Even though it's an inconvience to take the trailer back for service I feel that I gave my business to the dealer that deserved it.

RE: Just Received My New Trailer Registration; WOW!

Before you register your trailer and perhaps your other vehicles in WA to avoid CA taxes be sure to do your research. I remember reading that the CHP was was on the alert for trailers and other recreational vehicles that are registered out of state, but were actually owned by CA residents and stored and used a high percentage of time in CA. I'm sure there's some CA DMV law that prohibits this. I read a while back that CA is working to identify those people who have avoided sales tax and fees by using LLCs established in Montana. I believe that Montana is even cooperating with CA on this. If you register your trailer and vehicles outside of CA where will you tell your insurance company that the trailer and vehicles are garaged? If you tell them CA and register them in another state I wonder if there might be some perjury issues with your registration? There might even be some insurance issues. If nothing else if you choose to avoid CA taxes please don't complain about the level or lack of services you receive in CA.

RE: Anyone else like the hallway design?

Our Titanium 30E35SA has a side aisle with a full bathroom. We really like the arrangement because it provides a roomier bathroom which has separate access from the bedroom and the hallway. As mentioned previously you can use the bathroom facilities without disturbing anyone that's in the bedroom.

RE: Campground near San Jose

I've stayed at Coyote Valley and highly recommend it. It has very spacious sites and is very clean. Nice clubhouse and pool. As noted by others there is some train noise, but it's not very loud and isn't distracting.

RE: sofa with air mattress

Our 2008 Titanium 30E35SA has an air bed. No one has slept on it, but when I inflated it to try it out it seemed very comfortable. Another advantage is that we got a full length drawer where the conventional mattress would have been when folded up.

RE: Titanium's Tire Rubbing undercarage!!

I have a 2008 Titanium 30E35SA and had tire rubbing problems. The problem was remedied under warranty by adjusting my Mor/Ryde suspension. Your friend should take his trailer to his dealer so that they can inspect the problem and get it resolved.

RE: 49er Football Game - A New Experience

Candlestick Park and the RV Park are in a pretty "rough" part of San Francisco. It's in an industrial park setting and not an area that you want to take walks outside the park. I believe they have security guards and a locked gate after certain hours. But, it is convenient for the 49er games.

2X to the comment on Winchester Bay RV Park. It's got a view of the bay and the opening to the ocean, but the park is first class. Take a look at the aerial of the park on their web site and you will see the lay out of the park and the views available.

RE: Prices of new Fifth Wheels?

When we were shoppping for our fifth wheel we started at the local RV dealers and shows. After seeing what they had and what their prices were we started comparison shopping via phone and Internet. It was a little difficult to compare the units offered by various dealers because they each ordered different "stuff" on the units they had in stock. But, by going back to the base unit and then adding and subtracting all of the options we were able to compare "apples" to "apples." While we were discussing the trailers with three or four dealers a couple of them got very upset that we were doing comparison shopping between them and started getting a little pushy by saying that their prices were only good at that moment and if I didn't accept their price it would be higher if I called back. One dealer actually told me "no deal" and refused to discuss it any further. Based on the culture the sales staff of these dealers I thought that the culture of the service department might be similar. So I decided not to purchase from them regardless of their prices (they were not the lowest price anyway). I ended up ordering a trailer from Sprad's RV in Sparks, NV. I had to drive 120 miles to pick the trailer up and have gone back several times for service. However, their sales staff provided the best price and responded or did research to provide answers to all of my questions (there were a lot). As anticipated the culture of their service department matches that of the sales staff and I have been very happy in all of my dealings with them.
After taking delivery I did spend several days at a park in Sparks and had them take care of some minor items before taking the trailer home. whenever I have warranty work done I spend a few days there to make it like a mini vacation.
Keep in mind that most of the components are covered by the manufacturer and warranty work can be done by other dealers (or Camping World) that are authorized warranty stations.
